Maelstrom is the solo project from DJ Emok. DJ Emok is known for his work as one of the managers of Iboga Records and from his productions with the Phony Orphants, who he runs together with his friend Jeppe from Denmark.
With more than 10 years of experience in the electronic music scene, DJing, playing live sets and doing label work, Emok has found him self a personal style of the finest progressive sound.
His first Maelstrom album was released in November 2007 which included tracks made with artists like NDSA, Liquid Soul, Freq and Hydrophonic. With several tracks on various top 10 Emok has shown that his new project as Maelstrom is highly recommended from leading DJs in the dance scene. The Mealstrom live performance has been very popular among party people around the world, in places like Brazil, Greece, Switzerland, Germany, Japan and Mexico, just to name few.
